Cycling in De Hoge Veluwe National Park is an ideal way to explore the varied surroundings. Along the way, you enjoy the beauty of all types of landscapes, from vast heathlands to forests. Especially since you can use the famous White Bikes for free. Prefer to explore the park on your own bike? Or rent a bike? That's of course possible too!
40 kilometers of bike paths
Looking for the most beautiful bike routes in the Park? Several routes are available at the Visitor Center (near the Museonder). You can also follow the ANWB mushrooms spread throughout the Park. You don't need a map for this.
Step onto the white bicycle
The 'White Bicycle' is inextricably linked to the Hoge Veluwe National Park. Upon arrival (at the entrances (Hoenderloo, Otterlo, and Schaarsbergen) you can immediately hop on one of the 1800 bicycles. Additionally, you will find the white bicycles distributed across the bike parking areas at Marchantplein, the Kröller-Müller Museum, and the Jachthuis Sint Hubertus.
As soon as you place a White Bicycle in the parking, another visitor is allowed to use it. Therefore, you cannot reserve or lock them.
Reserving a Rental Bike
Want to be sure you can explore the park by bike during a day at De Hoge Veluwe? Then rent a blue bike or tandem. Unlike the White Bike, these rented bikes can be locked. They are issued at the bike workshop in the center of the Park. At the end of the day, you return the bikes here as well. In addition to regular and electric bikes, the Park also rents out electric wheelchair bikes and cargo bikes.
