In 2024, under the coordination of the National Parks Bureau (NBP), the basic elements of the existing overarching brand style for the National Parks have been refreshed. This includes: logo, colors, style elements, and fonts. These elements are now recognizably featured on various communication tools, such as the National Parks quartet game, the banners and brochure for the National Park Day 2024, the information carriers that were, among others, used at the signing of the National Parks Manifesto, and of course the website nationalparken.nl, which launched this spring.
Recognition and Unity
It quickly became apparent that National Parks also want to use this new brand style. Nationaal Park Utrechtse Heuvelrug, Nationaal Park Schiermonnikoog, and Nationaal Park De Meinweg have already adjusted their logos and are applying the new brand style to their communication tools. To encourage other parks to make this transition, the NPB supports by covering part of the costs for the development of the brand style.
Unified Appearance
To enhance the recognition and unity of the national parks, the goal is for National Parks to have as consistent and unified an appearance as possible by 2030. This way, the national parks demonstrate that they are part of the unique and special collection of Dutch nature areas. The NBP is in talks with the parks to see whether, and if so how, we can jointly align in terms of brand style.
